1. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola in 1972, The Godfather revived the gangster genre. The gangster genre was famous in he 30’s. Francis ford was a film school brat and after seven movies The Godfather was his first hit. There were over 50 scenes with food, important moments like weddings and christenings but most important the theme of honesty Loyalty and family is the driving force behind this gangster movie.
3. In this film review Godfather is considered to be the top film of all time. The review discusses how rare it is for a film to define a genre but The Godfather takes the cake. The review goes on to say it were only about gun toting Mafia types it would never had went on earning as many accolades.
4. As many times as I seen Godfather never had I thought I would be a media film major and thinking look how beautifully shot and framed this movie is. As a film student and an inspiring photographer the composition of shots and lighting made this movie for me. I can appreciate every intricate detail of this process.
