Casablanca

1.   Directed by Michael Curitz in 1942, Casablanca stole America’s heart with themes of lost love, honor, self-sacrifice in war and romance within a chaotic world.

3.       The review touches on this film being America’s best-loved movie and how it can be considered to be on the top 100 of all time. The review discusses how unlike most film that later became classic Casablanca was popular in its day. Murray Burnett and Joan Alison based this film on an unproduced play Everybody Comes to Ricky’s. Casablanca was set in the early 40’s era when European resistance and French underground to work against Nazi occupation of home countries.

4.  I liked Casablanca because I could appreciate the power and strength behind it. I also like this film because I could relate to the lost love theme and romance within a crazy world theme.
